The Heart That Aches
In darkness I whisper to you “okay”
Silence echoes on the walls of my room
You do not reply much to my dismay
Your absence adds to the gloom that still looms
Two teens whose love was cut short from illness
You have gone to capital S somewhere
And have left me here alone and a mess
I know we would both agree it’s not fair
Physical pain flows down my tear stained cheeks
Which haven’t stopped since I spoke at your wake
I cry out your name in grief stricken shrieks
Sobs of sorrow cause my body to shake
An ache in my heart I cannot ignore
I have never felt pain like this before
So beautiful….So sad. I could really feel the emotion from it. I Love it!
