  1. Birthday Dinner
    ——————-

    It was my birthday
    Best day of the year
    My mom asked me
“What ya want for dinner, dear?”

    I could’ve had a hamburger
    Pizza or more
    But instead I chose
Something really, really weird for a five-year-old

    I said Beef Stew, momma
    Yes, sir
    That’s true
All this girl wanted was a big bowl of beef stew

Now you can call me weird
    Crazy or strange
    But
    That surely isn’t my aim

    I just love my stew
    Now is that insane?

    ——————-

  2. Green Beans…
Oh how I detested those monsters
They’d haunt me in my dreams!

    Squishy
    Slimy
    Squeaky

    My mother would plead,
    “Honey, just eat ten.”
I raise the fork to my mouth,
    Wincing as I swallowed…
“There’s one. Nine more to go.”

    ——————————————–
Haha it’s really short, but I was pressed for time 😉

  3. You make me feel like
    I’m full, satisfied.
    Your wonderful taste
Just takes me on a ride!

    You make me feel joy,
When I see you at the table.
    When Momma says “come”,
I go as fast as I’m able.

    Your sweet, tangy taste!
    Your gooey sensation!
    Each time we’re together,
    It’s a celebration!

You’re the yin to my yang,
You’re the J to my PB,
You’re the cat to my dog,
    You’re smushed bananas, you see!

  4. Vegetables
    By Hannah O.
Have you ever disgusted over the fact of eating something
    Like broccoli, carrots, or spinach?
    You start eating it…
Then you can hardly make yourself finish?

We’ll take it apart so you can actually see
    The point of eating vegetables
    You will soon know that…
    They really are edible!

    Now you might be like
Take it apart? What do you mean?
    But soon enough…
You will see the point of eating that green bean

If we separate out letters (to take it apart) we have
    Vege-get-etables
Veggies… get them in your mouth and swallow… because they are good for you
    And they really are ‘etables!’

    ———-

I was thinking of ideas and this was the best idea I could come up with! 🙂

    • Love vegetables! Even at restaurants, I’d order mashed potatoes and broccoli. Potatoes, broccoli, garlic, onions…

  5. Elbow shaped or twisty
    Or tied in a bow
    Smothered in cheese
    Steaming in a bowl

Impatiently I wait for the moment when
Its moved from the pot to a bowl
And placed right in front of me

My mouth waters when my fantasies come true
The warm bowl of mac is placed in front of me
It’s not elbow or twisty or tied in a bow
It’s Spongebob and I om nom nom

  6. —–Starburst—–
This is the way you make me feel
That way that satisfies my unending thirst
The mark you leave on me will never heal
The one word to describe it, Starburst

    It’s invigorating and energizing
That sweet liquid that runs through my veins
    It’s refreshing empowering
I no longer can hold on to the reins

This is the way you make me feel
That way that satisfies my unending thirst
The mark you leave on me will never heal
The one word to describe it, Starburst

    Your smell tickles my nose
Your sweetness dances across my tongue
This is how every lovely encounter goes
My heart, my soul, my will you’ve won

This is the way you make me feel
That way that satisfies my unending thirst
The mark you leave on me will never heal
The one word to describe it, Starburst
    —————————————————————
This is more of an ABAB right? Darn it! I wrote this about nobody in particular but romance warms my heart and if I could I’d marry Starburst.

  7. A native fruit,
    so juicy and sweet.
    I was so cute,
    when this I did eat.

    When I was very young,
I ate this for the first time.
    Oh and how it clung,
to my entire face in this prime.

    I loved this food,
I still do to this day.
    This is a mango,
    it made me say ‘yay!’

    ————
Lol, all I could think of. 😀

  8. I like vegetables too, Alexis! 🙂
