  1. A very well written and spoken poem! (I love this kind of thing) It was inspiring, smart, and creative.

  2. What a very thought provoking poem! [and who better to read it than Madonna though] I love how the metaphors are used, and especially how the everyday things of life, such as light or metals, could be like ships–that line stuck out the most to me for some reason. The idea of making the speaker an island was very fascinating and effective too. It also calls to mind how love can sometimes be, where it may be easy like a light switch to just turn it off, stop loving and go somewhere else if the other person does the same–while I have yet to meet someone like that, it really raises an interesting point
