Today’s prompt:

Describe the best day ever in your poem

Post your poem to comments!

Please read the NaPoWriMo page for details on how the challenge works, how to comment,  and how you can participate this month, no matter what your personal writing challenge is for the month of April. Remember that work shared this month is shared in precisely that spirit: sharing, as opposed to critiquing.

  1. – Kind of following NaPoWriMo prompt, and sort of my own prompt

    Kind eyes,
    Crisp voice,
    Soft heart,
    Lovely face.

    Strong hands,
    Strong mind,
    Forever speaking,
    Wordless rhymes.

    Broken temper,
    Forgiving words,
    My heart,
    Is yours.

  2. Not following prompt

    Can love take away?
Things we wish we didn’t say?
    And the sin inside?

    Every mistake made?
All those things we try to hide?
    From those that we love?

    One love can ignore
All the blame and all the shame
    That you hold inside

    Unlike those you’ve seen
He will never let you go
    He has paid the price

    To save just your life
    Jesus sacrificed Himself
    And was crucified

    Because He loves you
More than words could ever say
    More than you can know
