Today’s prompt:

Write a poem about your favorite food.

Post your poem to comments!

Please read the NaPoWriMo page for details on how the challenge works, how to comment,  and how you can participate this month, no matter what your personal writing challenge is for the month of April. Remember that work shared this month is shared in precisely that spirit: sharing, as opposed to critiquing.

  1. – Following NPWM Site prompt

    Both staring at the table.
Now we sit across from each-other.
I keep replaying the scene in my head like an old fable.
You scratch your knuckles against the table,
And I’m just putting in love some more.
You’ve got less heart in it now,
    We’ve started this conversation before

  2. A bean on a tree
    Far from free
    Their differences are stark
    For it can be dark,
    And it can be white
What I would do for a single bite
It can come in many sizes
From an inch to foot-long surprises
A treat that washes away sadness
    It’s like eating pure gladness
