We are half way through NaNoWriMo!

For the Young Writer’s Program Facebook:
You might be backing up your novel regularly, but today is the perfect day to add a second back-up method just to be on the safe side.

Don’t let novel loss haunt you. Celebrate Back Up Your Novel Day then share your preferred method here in the comments!

  1. I save my works externally and internally. I use both, hard drives and google drive.

  2. I save every page or so. And every time you’re done for the day, I recommend triple saving just to be safe lol.

  3. I use Nano young writers since you have to add pages on so they can count your word count, and then save every time I write a couple hundred words lol. Just in case your computers go wacky in the middle of writing!

  4. Rosalind Rohrbaugh

I back up my NaNo (and other works) in DropBox! Works great! And I can access it anywhere I have the app (phone, tablet, computer, laptop)

  5. Erica DeCrescenzo

I normally just attach it to an email and send it to myself,
I have a folder in my email separately for my Novel chapters. Works great 🙂
Which thank god I have done this from the start because I just recently lost my computer due to the hard drive frying!
This ways is best because you never know who your going to meet at any time so you always have your novel with you!!

  6. i usually use a thumb drive to make sure. i love them because they’re portable and small so i can take them almost anywhere, the downside being their so small their easy to forget. luckily i usually remember before i’m even halfway trough the door.
