Be Careful With Your Words by Mary-Kelly

Be careful with your words today

A child may be neigh

And the little things you say

May swift their mind towards lies,

Be careful with your words today

Someone may be lifting up their hurt

And if you scowl or betray

They may fall deeper into the dirt,

Be careful with your words today

For someone may be lost

And negative words may lead them the wrong way

Resulting in an unfixable cost,

Be careful with your words today

You may destroy an innocent mind

With things that aren’t okay

And words that aren’t kind,

Be careful with your words today

Because you may be in pain

But others don’t deserve the same.
