  1. I felt lost, alone, abandoned, unwanted
    Until I found you
    I felt wanted
    I found myself
I found parts of me, parts that I thought I would never see again
    Then you left me
    But now I am strong
And I have been recovered entirely
I have not lost any part of myself
    I am found

    1. Wow. Wow on every level. THIS IS AMAZING, SOFIA! I love how the poem changes from the beginning to the end, it grows so much strong, while in the beginning it’s so fragile. (In a good way!) Really great poem! ❀ πŸ™‚

  2. Some things here,
    Some things there,
    A spare hairbrush,
    Maybe half a teddy bear,

    Some people,
    Some memories.

    An empty space
    Filled with matter
Where the only person who cared
    Is gone and nothing matters

    I met you there
    I remember that feeling
    Hazel eyes meeting yours
Not caring if the second of contact was fleeting

    This feeling was odd.
No, it wasn’t one of love.
    It was, perhaps,
    Potential friendship, a gaze of.

We’re still in the lost and found
But without a reason to stay
We found each other, didn’t we?
So can’t we leave this forsaken place?

    It’s been awhile.
    We’ve gone our separate ways.
    I wanted to leave,
    You wanted to stay.

    The second you said that
    I knew we were lost
    My heart broke a little,
You’d spoken your mind without minding the cost.

We’re still in the lost and found,
No thanks to you, my dear
Friend, yet, I lack even an ounce of anger
I just feel more lost than anything here.

    1. Angela, I love this! So emotional, I love it so much! You should write more poems, (if you want to; just a suggestion), because I would love to read them! Fantastic job! πŸ˜€ ❀

  3. Little things, so easy to scatter
Of course, they end up lost, hidden, gone.
    Searching frantically, looking and searching
β€˜Till you find the little things and they’re safe again.

    1. Aw, this is great, Sarah! It’s so mellow and gentle, I really love it! Fantastic poem!! πŸ™‚ ❀

  4. “Lost and Found”
    Her eyes were there
    A puddled mess
    But her soul was lost
    Begging to be missed
    My hands were there
    A trembling wreck
    But my heart was gone
    Searching for a home
    Her feet were there
    An always ready escape
    But her mind was muddled
    Needing to be saved
    You see, she and I
    We were like the waves
    We were in and out
    Of our emotions
Like people walking in and out of caves
    Excited when it starts
But then crumbling at the exit
Because the world is a scary place
    And we have no choice
    But to live in it
    You see, she and I
    We were like the sky
    Bright in the morning
But by the time the night came
It was as though we had never smiled
    Because we were so dark
    The world thought us gone
    You see, she and I
    We’re a different kind
    Built for tears
    Broken hearts
    And lost souls
    Trapped behind words
That will never be ours to hold
    You see, she and I
    We’re both lost and found
    Searching for ourselves
Even as we are held by each other
Even as the words breathed from our lips
    Say ‘yes, I am okay’
    When in reality
    What they mean to say
Is ‘I am full of heartbreak’
And ‘I am full of pain’
    You see, in this world
    We cannot say those things
    Or think those things
We’re meant to be pretty girls
On a pedestal for other girls
To look at and be amazed
    You see, she and I
    Are both lost and found
    In the hands of others
    I cannot stand my ground
At the feet of the merciless
My heart is on the floor
    A sunken treasure
But when I am beside her
    My world comes to life
    An ambition through the night
    When all is dark
    As my heart would be
If it were not for her
You see, with her I am found
    With her I am whole
    With her I am myself

That was a lot longer than I meant for it to be …. :O

    1. :O
This is absolutely amazing. I love it. It is so heartfelt and just….outstanding. The entire time I was reading I was just captivated by the emotions and words in this piece. Amazing.

    2. Oh my god. This is so amazing, Alyssa! The emotions are so raw and true, I love, love, love it!
      Really, wonderful job! ❀ πŸ˜€

    3. Awww! This is so beautiful, is this about your best friend? πŸ™‚ There is so much emotion Lys, just, wow. I love it. Everyone aspires to have someone like this in their life. ❀

  5. Frustrated and desperate
Searching under every nook and cranny
Throwing objects and creating a mess
All because your favorite pen has vanished.
    Looking under stacks of papers
    And in between your bed.
You just can’t seem to locate it.
    With hope almost diminished
    Frustration at its best.
Placing your hands on your hips
    And sighing in agony,
You feel an object in your back pocket
Your hand flies to the zone
And you breathe a sigh of relief
For you have found your beloved pen.
You had been carrying it this whole time.

    1. πŸ˜€ This is amazing Naomi! It’s so funny, it had me laughing the whole poem! Way to go!
      ❀ πŸ˜‰

    2. Haha! This happens to me ALL OF THE TIME!!!!!!!!!! I mean, I lose things like crazy, so relatable and hilarious, I love it Naomi! πŸ™‚

    1. I love this, there is so much emotion and pain and beauty in just four line, wonderful job. ❀ πŸ™‚

  6. Unrelated to the prompt
I could feel everything inside of me shatter
In the time it took me to read one message
I refuse to believe this is goodbye forever
I can’t find my breath, it seems to have left
I must have something compressing my chest
I’m shaking more than a soaking wet Chihuahua
I guess someone forgot that winter is over
Maybe it’s time to wish on a four leaf clover
Or on the star shooting across the sky
So I won’t have to say goodbye
    I’m no longer broken
    I’m completely shattered
I’m no longer picking up my pieces
I’m leaving them out to be stepped upon
    I no longer hope
I just wade through life feeling numb
I’ve never expected a hurt this immense
It creates a numbness so intense
I begin to wonder if I’m even alive
But I keep going because I promised I’d try
And I’ll keep this one until the day I
    Find you or die

    1. This is so tragic and so sad and I’m so sorry you feel this way. Things will get better, I swear, trust me, I used to be in the same boat, but I got through it, and if I can do it, you can too. You got this Marysa, just hold on. πŸ™‚ ❀

  7. Lost and Found.

Lost and alone, yet not alone,
how many times have I grown
    accustomed to your absence.
    Why doesn’t it make sense?
    to me.
    Why can’t be together
lost but not found, until we find each other,
    Just let me cover
you in the snow on the ground.
    I have found you!
    you have found me,
thereto we will be together again,
    and say amen.
    But here we were lost,
    aware of the cost,
the effect it had on our heart.
    When we came apart,
    yet now we are found,
    flying off the ground.
    Lost but found.
    Lost and Found.

  8. Lost and Found
    1 year.
    2 years.
    3 years.
    I have been drained,
    To find you one day.
    Ever since you left that
    Day, My life has been
    Quite un-lighted.
    4 years.
    5 years.
    6 years.
That last spark of you I had,
    Is now shimmering off.
    My hands grasp the mellow
Air, holding it with all their might.
    7 years.
    8 years.
    9 years.
    So long I have dreamed,
Till this day to find you.
    Come back to my life,
    Thank you, dear Hope.
Don’t worry everyone, this isn’t at all what I am feeling or anything like that. I just wrote it based on the prompt. πŸ™‚ I hope you enjoyed it! ❀

  9. I was wandering,
    I was pondering,
    “Where is my home?”

    My fingertips; tainted blue.

    I was lost.
    A feeble fawn,
    Struggling to find home.

    Freezing alongside early morning dew.

    I was lost.
    I had nothing,
    But, costs,
    And dues…

    Until you.

    We were wandering,
    We worked through,
    Tough, weather,

There is nothing we can’t do.

    I was found.
    “Where was my home?”

I was found; saved, by you.
Omg… this is terrible… I needed to contribute so here it is, Thank you for reading πŸ˜€

  10. Lost and found
    Did you hear that sound
    Of support
    O love
    The flutter of wings
    Like on a dove
    I was lost
    Broken at a cost
    But now I’m found
    Speaking sounds
    Hey CWC
    Did you see?
    How you have changed,
    Ive made friends
    Put things to end
    You all have been
    So much
    I love
    Each and every one
    Of you
    So do what you do
    But I want to
    Thank you
    Yeah, you
    Everyone of you
    For doing what you do…

You guys mean way more to me than you think, you all are like friends to me, and each and every one of you mean so much to me, thank you all for your never ending support, your kind words, and just the love you give me all of the time. You guys are awesome. πŸ™‚ ❀

  11. “Lost and found”

Like a dirty rag left on the street,
the boy lay on the sidewalk as a sobbing heap.
He knew nothing but the streets and scraps in the garbage.
The boys walking home mocking and calling names.
For he was the lost and found boy with no home.

An orphan left on the steps.
    Abandoned and alone.
Half starving and shivering in the winter.
No full belly or warm fire place.
For he was the lost and found boy with no home.

    Family’s he overhears arguing.
    Bickering about nothing at all.
The boy thinks about a warm place to sleep and food in his stomach.
Stuck to scavenging the trash for food.
And he wishes for someone to love him.
For he was the lost and found boy with no home.

    His hair matted with filth.
A dirt coating on his body.
Barebacked with only pants on his legs.
    No education, stuck wondering around.
Most wish for more money, but he wishes for a family.
For he was the lost and found boy with no home.

  12. Being bound to lost and found.
What you hear is not a sound.
Its a feeling: empty and hollow.
For this well is deep and swallows.

And while life is full of regret.
A heart is torn for debt.
For all the loved ones you owe.
Your heart is sure to go.

Peace is alive too. It takes some finding.
The fire in your soul is blinding.
It is a treasure to have you here.
And a necessity to be near.

Quickly run past the shadowy past.
The latter of lost and found lasts.
Drown out the calls of fate.
    It’s your life to repaint.

  13. “Lost and Found”

Plain girl, unseen in a crowd
    Blending in, chameleon.
    No one notices her,
    not even if she shouts.
    She was lost.
    Until you found her
    and pulled her close.
